Your unit is equipped with a environment-friendly heat pump unit. This article will tell you how to operate it properly.

Please read through the information carefully. Improper use of the heat pump or changing the configuration without permission can lead to costs.

Activating/deactivating the heating

You can find the heat pump controls and the intended switch by opening the bottom right door panel.

• In the summer period, you may choose to turn the heating off by turning the switch to the right
• In the winter period, you can turn the central heating on by turning the switch to the left 

Even with central heating turned off, the heat pump will still produce hot sanitary water.

If the heating is activated, please make sure that at least one radiator valve is opened for 100%, so the heat has some place to go. The heat pump may enter an error state otherwise.

Filter cleaning

The filters need to be cleaned every 3 months. When it's time, this message will appear on the heat pump display:

Filter replacement

Every year, the filters need to be replaced. New filters are included in the common charges and will be delivered to you by Home Invest Belgium. To replace the filter, follow the steps below.

Change language

If you want to change the language of the heat pump, please follow the steps demonstrated in the video below.

Increase or decrease temperature

The heat pump power can be regulated in the device's menu. When the colder seasons start, we recommend setting the power to a low level, and steadily increase it as the outside temperature drops.

• Setting the heat pump power to +10 lets the heat pump operate at full power
• Setting the heat pump power to 0 lets the heat pump operate at medium power
• Setting the heat pump power to -10 lets the heat pump operate at low power

It is important to understand that these steps are not to be interpreted in °C. Even at -10, your heat pump will still warm up your apartment.

Ventilation settings

The ventilation settings are optimized for the building setup and should not be changed. The heat pump may go in an error state if the configuration is changed.

The heat pump will automatically lower the ventilation power between 20:00 and 07:00 to reduce noise at night.

Hot water

The hot water settings and schedule should not be touched, as they are optimized for the size of the unit. Every 7 days, the heat pump will automatically increase the hot water temperature to prevent the formation of legionella bacteria.
