What should I do upon receiving my indexation letter?

In a nutshell, there are two things you need to get right: 

  1. You may have already paid the rent for the current month when you received your indexation letter. 
    • Perhaps when you receive your indexation letter, you have already paid the rent for the current month. If so, additionally write over the total amount on the first page. That way, you will have paid the surplus for the current month. 
    • If you haven't paid your rent for the current month, immediately adjust your payment and immediately transfer the new total rent amount on the second page.
  2. Adjust your future payments. From the month after receiving your indexation letter, it is important that you transfer the new total rent amount to us each time. 
    • Do you make your monthly rent payment manually? If so, don't forget to transfer the new amount at the bottom of the second page from now on. 
    • Do you have a standing order, which makes the payment automatically every month? Then contact your bank to adjust this order to the new rent amount on the second page.
