Lost power? Annoying. Before we send a technician, please run through these steps - one of them might solve your issue.
Check your fuse box
When there's a short circuit or over-consumption on a certain circuit, a fuse in your fuse box might have switched off. Locate the fuse box of your apartment, open it, and check if all fuses show "ON". If not, try switching the switch on.
- Does it remain on? Problem might be fixed.
- Does it switch off again immediately? Try finding the device that's causing the problem.
- First, switch off all fuses.
- Start enabling the fuses one by one, and stop when power is lost again. You have now identified the circuit that's causing trouble.
- Read the name of that circuit and unplug all electrical appliances on it.
- Then, switch the fuse on again and start plugging in the appliances one by one.
- The moment you lose power again, you have probably identified the troublemaker. Leave it unplugged and repair or replace the device.
- If the device is provided by Home Invest, please contact us to schedule an intervention.
General problem?
Time to speak to the neighbors. Try finding out if others are experiencing the same problem, or if for instance lighting in the hallway isn't working too. If this is the case, unfortunately there's not much we can do. You'll have to contact the system operator in your region to find out more.
