How do I connect to WiFi?

You have two options to connect to the WiFi network in the building.

Private WiFi network

When you are in or nearby your own unit, you can connect to your private network. You can find the network name, your username and your password on a sticker on your WiFi access point.

Shared WiFi network

When you are in a common space, you can connect to the shared network. You have two options.

There is a SmartEyeHotspot network. This network allows you to connect without a password. After connecting to the WiFi network, you'll have to open your browser and go to http://hotspot.smarteye.be/ to log in. Your login details are the same as those to connect to your private network.

If available, we advise you to use the SmartEyeWiFree network. This network requires you to fill in your username and password when connecting, just like when connecting to your private network.

If you are in other locations where these networks are available, you might also connect with your home internet credentials. However, we can only help you with any issues when they happen within your own building.

What is my data limit?

You can check how many data volume you have left by logging in on the SmartEye portal. The login credentials to access this dashboard are identical to the username and password you use to connect to your private network.

If you need more volume, you can always access this portal and click the "Additional volume" button in the sidebar. As long as you are within the fair use policy (usually 750 GB), you can add an extra 10 GB at no extra cost on this page. When unfair use is suspected, you'll have to buy additional credits or get in touch with SmartEye support.

How many devices can I connect?

You can connect up to twenty devices with your personal login. Beyond that limit, devices might be disconnected. To find out which devices are connected, login to the the SmartEye portal, then click the Volume/Connections menu option.
